⚠️ Key Requirements
For a 7th List boat to be legally rented with temporary commercial dispatch, it must meet the following requirements established by the Directorate General of the Merchant Marine:
✅ Official requirements
- Maximum 3 months of rental per year.
- Be registered on the 7th List of the Ship Registry.
- Technical certificates in force (ITB, seaworthiness, etc.).
- Technical inspection equivalent to 6th List, carried out by a collaborating entity (only during the rental period).
- Extended insurance that includes civil liability and personal accidents on board.
- Naval management contract with a nautical rental company (Zarpar takes care of this).
- Mandatory dispatch before each rental period.
- During the commercial period, the owner cannot operate the boat or participate in the crew, unless enrolled with a professional license.
ℹ️ Other important details
- The boat will carry the letters “CT” in front of the registration during the commercial use period.
- The management contract and application are submitted through the Ministry’s electronic headquarters.
- The dispatch can be cancelled early if the owner wishes to return to private use before exhausting the 3 months.
