CHECK-IN – Boat Owner (boat delivery)

  1. Coordinate the meeting point and dock access.
  2. Verify the exterior condition of the boat (hull, propeller, sails, fenders).
  3. Inspect the interior (cleanliness, bathrooms, kitchen, electronics).
  4. Explain basic operation (engine, batteries, toilet, anchoring, safety).
  5. Document the boat’s condition with photos or video.
  6. Record initial data: engine hours, fuel, inventory.
  7. Provide a basic manual or on-board guide (if you have one).
  8. Establish a contact channel (WhatsApp, phone).
  9. Sign a checklist or delivery document if desired (optional but recommended).

CHECK-IN – Crew (rental start)

  1. Confirm with the owner the meeting point and port access.
  2. Visually inspect the boat (exterior and interior) before departing.
  3. Take photos of the general condition for safety.
  4. Listen carefully to the owner’s briefing.
  5. Ask any questions about operation, safety or limitations.
  6. Save the owner’s contact for any unforeseen issues during the rental.
  7. Sign (if required) the delivery document or checklist.

CHECK-OUT – Boat Owner (boat pickup)

  1. Arrange a time and meeting point for the return.
  2. Meet the crew and ask about incidents or damages.
  3. Review the boat’s condition with the crew (interior and exterior).
  4. Compare with check-in photos if necessary.
  5. Request collaboration in basic tasks (cleaning, tidying up).
  6. Collect keys and, if applicable, return the deposit.
  7. Close the process with a damage/incident report if applicable.

CHECK-OUT – Crew (rental end)

  1. Arrive at the agreed time for the return.
  2. Inform the owner of any incidents or problems.
  3. Collaborate with basic tasks: rinse deck, tidy lines, stow sails.
  4. Return the boat in good condition and with the agreed fuel level.
  5. Hand over keys and verify that nothing is left on board.
  6. Sign the return document if requested.
